The study looked at how different irrigation schedules affect cotton growth and yield using a subsurface drip irrigation method. They found that irrigating more frequently led to better growth and higher yields for all sizes of irrigation quotas. In particular, medium-sized quotas saw the most benefit from multiple irrigation sessions. This suggests that splitting up irrigation water into smaller doses is best for increasing cotton yield.
