Climate change drives sharp decline in river runoff in Jiaodong Peninsula.
The study analyzed long-term data from hydrometry stations in the Dagujia River Basin to understand the decreasing trend in runoff over the past 40 years. Results show a clear decrease in runoff, especially since the 1980s. This decline is linked to reduced precipitation and higher temperatures. Water demand from structures also contributes to the decrease in runoff. Overall, the Dagujia River Basin has experienced a significant decrease in runoff due to these factors.
