The researchers studied different ways of planting maize to find the best method. They tested 7 planting modes in the field and found that planting maize in wide and narrow rows with a specific spacing and density resulted in the highest yield. This planting pattern improved the structure of the maize population, reduced competition between plants, and increased photosynthetic efficiency. As a result, the maize plants grew better, accumulated more dry matter, and produced the maximum yield of 11,536.35 kg per hectare.
