Forests in Southern Shaanxi Thrive, Boosting Ecosystem Services for Millions
The study looked at how plants in Southern Shaanxi Province grow over time. They used data on vegetation, weather, and land use from 2000 to 2010 to see how much plants were growing each year. They found that plant growth increased from February to July, then decreased in November. Forests had the highest growth, followed by shrubs, grasslands, and farmland. In some areas, plant growth increased a lot, while in others it stayed the same. Overall, the study showed that plant growth in Southern Shaanxi Province changed throughout the year and varied across different types of land.
