Artificial pollination of Cuiguan pears in a plastic greenhouse resulted in the highest fruit setting rate of 96%. Using Xuehua pear as a pollinator led to large fruit size and high quality. Pollinating with 100× and 250× pollen suspensions resulted in fruit setting rates of 69.2% and 50.1% respectively. Overall, artificial pollination increased fruit size and the number of fully developed seeds, with minimal impact on other quality indicators.
