Northern China's Desertification Reversed by Vegetation Protection Policies and Rainfall.
Desertification in Inner Mongolia was studied using vegetation indicators from satellite images. Over 11 years, there was no significant desertification, with some areas showing improved vegetation health. Regions with more rainfall had better vegetation restoration, especially with over 300 mm of precipitation. Policies protecting vegetation in northern China have helped improve ecological conditions. The desert edge in western Inner Mongolia has changed significantly, requiring further study on desertification reversal.
