Granulosa cells boost goat oocyte fertility rates in groundbreaking study
The experiment looked at how granulosa cells affect the maturation and fertilization of goat eggs in a lab setting. They found that eggs with granulosa cells had higher maturation and cleavage rates compared to those without. The maturation rates were highest in eggs cultured with a medium containing a certain amount of granulosa cells. The cleavage rates were also higher in eggs cultured in this medium compared to others. This suggests that granulosa cells play a significant role in the development of goat eggs in vitro.
