Revolutionary Hybrid Rice Technology Boosts Crop Yields in Anhui Region
The goal of the study was to improve rice cultivation techniques for higher yields and sustainability. Researchers in Anhui developed a fertilizer and water application model for hybrid rice, resulting in an average yield of 10,575 kg/hm2. The tested rice plants showed robust growth, with many tillers and green leaves, shallow root systems, and good leaf-tiller development. They also had delayed crop closure, good aeration and light transmission, and high dry matter accumulation. The rice plants had simultaneous heading, many panicles, and high dry matter transfer into panicles during filling and fruiting stages. This research provides a strong foundation for high-yield cultivation of hybrid rice in Anhui's riparian rice region.
