The study compared different ways to restore damaged grasslands on rocky land in Yunnan. Enclosed grasslands had the most plant species, while artificial grasslands had the fewest. Each type of grassland had different main plant species. Enclosed grasslands were the most diverse, while artificial grasslands had the highest yield of good forage. Artificial grasslands were the most effective at restoring degraded land, followed by improved grasslands, and then enclosed grasslands.
