The researchers used powdered activated carbon (PAC) and ultrafiltration (UF) to clean the water from a sedimentation tank. They found that adding PAC helped remove particles and organic substances, keeping the water clear and clean. The PAC also reduced the formation of harmful chemicals by up to 31.4%. Additionally, PAC prevented the membrane from getting clogged, making it easier to clean.
