The study looked at China's textile and apparel industries from 2005 to 2010. They found that while the competitiveness of these industries has improved, the level of intra-industry trade is still low. Most of the trade is between different industries rather than within the same industry. Textile products have advanced intra-industry trade and competitiveness, while apparel products have low intra-industry trade levels. Suggestions were made to improve China's intra-industry trade in textile and apparel.
