Tibet experiencing significant warming trend and increased precipitation over past 52 years.
The study analyzed temperature and precipitation data from Tibet between 1955 and 2007. They found that over this period, the average temperature in Tibet has been increasing, especially the minimum temperature. Precipitation levels have also been on the rise, with more noticeable increases in winter, spring, and summer since the 1970s. The warming trend in temperatures became more pronounced in the mid-1980s, while the increase in precipitation levels was more evident from the late 1960s onwards.
