Boosting Employee Satisfaction Leads to Improved Service Performance in Firms
The study looked at how high-performance human resource practices can improve service performance in service-oriented firms. They found that practices like internal mobility, results-oriented appraisal, and incentive rewards have a positive impact on employee satisfaction, which in turn leads to better in-role performance. Additionally, staff selection, extensive training, and internal mobility contribute to organizational identification, which also enhances in-role and extra-role performance. Satisfied employees show more in-role behavior, while those who identify with the organization are more likely to go above and beyond their job duties.
