The researchers used different gas drainage technologies to reduce gas content in a coal mining face. By drilling boreholes and improving sealing techniques, they achieved a gas drainage rate of 62.3%. This reduced the gas volume fraction in the air return flow and top corner, solving the gas content over limit problem.
