Agricultural productivity in China has been increasing due to improvements in technology rather than efficiency. Different regions in China have varying levels of agricultural productivity, with most fluctuations being due to technological advancements rather than scale efficiency. To boost economic development, China needs to focus on advancing agricultural technology and tailor input strategies to different regions.
