Polysilic aluminum ferric flocculants were made from bauxite sledge to clean water. They removed over 80% of turbidity in dirty water with the right mix of aluminum, iron, and silicon. The flocculants also removed over 80% of color in dye-contaminated water at a specific pH and dosage. For industrial dye wastewater, a specific mix of aluminum, iron, and silicon achieved a 90% color removal rate.
