Improved algorithm reduces image segmentation time and boosts quality significantly.
An improved algorithm for image segmentation was developed to make the process faster and more accurate. Instead of using the traditional 2D Otsu method, this new approach calculates two 1D Otsu thresholds, reducing complexity. Additionally, fuzzy C-means clustering was used to enhance segmentation performance. Experimental results demonstrate that this improved algorithm outperforms the traditional 2D Otsu method in both computation time and quality of segmentation.
