The researchers analyzed tidal currents in the offshore area of eastern Jiaonan using observed data from 2005. They also created a numerical model to calculate tidal current fields. The results showed the distribution of maximum current speed and current fields for the M2 tidal current. The calculated data matched well with the observed data, providing valuable information on the temporal and spatial distribution of tidal currents in the area. This study can help in developing sea environment protection plans for the offshore area of Jiaonan.
