Soil survey technology in China is still being researched. This study focused on identifying soil types and boundaries using soil taxonomy. By analyzing soil profiles and using diagnostic characteristics, researchers determined soil types. Soil boundaries were identified based on demarcation points and remote sensing images. The study found that soil types and boundaries are influenced by factors like parent material, topography, vegetation, and land use patterns. It is important to consider these landscape factors in soil surveys.
