The article discusses dividing China into 7 grassland ecological economic regions based on factors like climate, grassland types, production, and economic systems. The regions include Inner Mongolia Ningxia Arid Grassland, Northwest Desert Shrubland, Qinghai Tibet Highland, Northeast Forest Grassland, Loess Plateau and Huang huai hai Shrubland, Southwest Karst Shrubland, and Southeast Forest Shrubland. Specific development policies and approaches for each region are also suggested.
