Optimal Calcium to Phosphorus Ratio Boosts Growth in Rhesus Monkeys.
The study looked at how different ratios of calcium to phosphorus in the diet affect the growth of rhesus monkeys. They divided the monkeys into groups with different ratios and found that a ratio of 1.2:1 with a phosphorus level of 0.89% was the best for calcium and phosphorus utilization. The researchers did not see any significant effects on calcium and phosphorus utilization in one group, but the group with the specific ratio had the highest utilization.
