Boosting Enzyme Activity in Cabbage Seedlings Fights Off Black Rot
Cabbage seedlings were tested for their resistance to black rot by measuring the activity of two enzymes, SOD and POD. The study found that resistant cabbage seedlings had higher enzyme activity compared to susceptible ones. The activity of SOD and POD increased over time in both resistant and susceptible seedlings. The enzyme activity changes reflected the plants' ability to resist black rot, with 'NO.014' showing the highest change range and 'Qingfeng' showing the lowest. This suggests that enzyme activity can be used as an indicator of resistance in cabbage seedlings.
