The article discusses how to create a detailed geographical base map for geological surveys in Tibet, where large-scale topographic maps are lacking. The authors developed a new method to enlarge existing maps to the required scale and used MapGis platform to compile geological and base maps. They collected remote sensing images and other data to create accurate maps for the area.
