Overuse of Nitrogen Fertilizer Decreases Late Rice Yield in Tobacco Rotation.
The study looked at how different amounts of nitrogen fertilizer affect the growth of late rice in Leiyang City when grown after tobacco. They found that too much nitrogen can actually decrease the rice yield and nitrogen efficiency. The best amount of nitrogen fertilizer for growing late rice after tobacco is around 39.3 kg per hectare, which can give a high economic yield of 7,639.5 kg per hectare.
