In North America, they have many ways to solve these disagreements, focusing on protecting individual interests and trying out new panel setups. China-ASEAN is looked at to learn how to make their process better, by understanding how organizations are set up, the kinds of issues they handle, and the steps they follow. The goal was to see how China-ASEAN could improve its dispute-solving system by learning from North America.
