Toxic Runoff Floods Wuhan, Endangering Residents' Health
The study looked at pollution in stormwater in a part of Wuhan City. Researchers monitored the water quality during heavy rain in four areas. They found that pollution levels were highest at the start of the storm. Different areas had varying pollution levels. In Hanyang District, the stormwater had high levels of sediment, organic matter, phosphorus, and nitrogen compared to Zhuhai City.
