The critical conversion efficiency of light energy in photocatalytic hydrogen production from water decomposition is crucial for achieving energy profit. A system using Na_2S/Na_2SO_3 as a sacrificial reagent was analyzed, revealing a critical conversion efficiency of 13% for annual hydrogen production of 20,000 tons.
