The study analyzed sediment transport in the Zhoushan Archipelago sea area using field data on currents and sediment characteristics. Results show that sediment concentration decreases from Hangzhou Bay to offshore areas. Sediment transport is mainly influenced by currents and circulation patterns, with sediments moving from the bay entrance to offshore regions. Tidal currents, residual currents, coastal currents, and wind waves all impact sediment movement. The Zhoushan Archipelago significantly affects sediment distribution and transport in the area.
