The article discusses the wetland resources in Chongqing, China, highlighting the problems in their utilization and suggesting solutions. Chongqing has a total wetland area of 1,402.16×10^3hm^2, with artificial wetlands comprising 87.19% and natural wetlands 12.81%. The current exploitation of wetlands is causing a decrease in natural wetland area, decline in ecological function, severe pollution, and reduction in biodiversity.
