The study looked at a way to improve the octane number of gasoline by using a substance called WK-602. They found that WK-602 can effectively increase the octane number of gasoline, especially for lower octane gasoline. By adding WK-602, the octane number of gasoline can increase by 0.7 to 1 unit for every 0.5% of the substance added. The octane number improver also mixes well with other high octane components without any negative effects. Industrial application showed that using WK-602 to blend gasoline can meet quality standards and is cost-effective for producing 93# and 97# gasoline.
