The study looked at the current state of ecological public welfare forests in Zhejiang Province. They found that most forests are protection forests, mainly made up of conifers. The forests are mostly middle-aged, with low shade density and quality. There are issues with forest type distribution and stand quality. To improve, they suggest better forest management, transforming less effective forests, and enhancing protection forest quality.
