High Nitrogen Pollution Threatens Nanao Coast Ecosystem and Marine Life
The scientists studied nitrogen and phosphorus levels in sediments from Nanao Coast. They found high levels of total nitrogen and phosphorus, especially in the fish culture zone. Inorganic phosphorus was the main form of phosphorus in the sediments. Nitrogen pollution was found to be serious, especially in the fish culture zone. Overall, phosphorus levels were low in the sediments, except in the fish culture zone.
