Coastal sediments in East China Sea reveal changing environmental conditions.
The study looked at the size of sediment particles in the East China Sea. They found that the sediment size changes from coarse silt to coarse clay as you move from the coast to the sea. Sediments near the shore are less sorted and have a different shape compared to those further out. The researchers divided the sediments into two groups based on size, with finer sediments closer to the shore and coarser sediments further out. These findings suggest that different types of sediments are deposited in different parts of the sea.
