Revolutionary Water Treatment Process Removes 93% of Turbidity - Study
This study looked at how to clean micro-polluted drinking water using a process that combines microfiltration and powdered activated carbon. They tested the process on water with high levels of pollutants and found that it removed 93% of turbidity, 86% of color, 70% of CODMn, and 61% of UV254. By adding powdered activated carbon and using intermittent aeration, they were able to slow down the clogging of the filtration membrane. The clogging started fast but then slowed down, showing that this method can effectively clean micro-polluted water.
