Researchers studied a new method to remove gas from thin coal seams at Feng Huang Coalmine. They looked at how gas moves in the mine and used a method from other mines as a reference. By drilling boreholes in the roof, they were able to improve gas drainage and prevent gas levels from getting too high. This method worked well at Feng Huang coalmine.
