Revolutionary fertilization method boosts corn yield by 32% and soil fertility
The study looked at how different types of fertilizers affect soil quality and corn yield. They found that using only chemical fertilizer decreased corn yield by 7.9%. Combining chemical fertilizer with root residue kept yield similar. Using root residue with straw improved soil fertility and increased corn yield by 17.1%. The best results were seen with root residue combined with organic fertilizer, which improved soil fertility and increased corn yield by 32.1%. This information is important for recommending fertilization methods to achieve high-quality, high-yield crops with low resource consumption.
