The study looked at changes in vegetation in the Loess Plateau using satellite data. They found that overall, vegetation cover increased over time, but with some fluctuations. Areas with lower vegetation cover increased, while areas with higher cover decreased. The study showed that some regions in the southwest had less vegetation due to less rain and urbanization. However, efforts to convert farmland to forests and grasslands in the east had positive ecological impacts.
