Revolutionary High-Gravity Method Achieves 99% Desulfurization Efficiency in Industrial Gases
Researchers conducted experiments to remove sulfur from industrial gases using a high-gravity system. By using a mix of air and hydrogen sulfide, sodium carbonate, and a catalyst, they achieved a desulfurization efficiency of up to 99%. The key factor affecting efficiency was the flow rate of the gas. The best results were obtained with a gas flow rate of 1 m3/h, high-gravity coefficient of 104.33, liquid flow rate of 150 L/h, and hydrogen sulfide concentration of 1,013.27 mg/m3.
