Nitrogen-rich steel production breakthrough could revolutionize manufacturing and construction.
The researchers studied how the amount of nitrogen in stainless steel changes with different nitrogen pressures. They found that more nitrogen was absorbed into the steel when the nitrogen pressure was higher. By using a specific process with a certain nitrogen pressure in a furnace, they were able to control the amount of nitrogen in the steel. With the right nitrogen pressure, they achieved a high yield of nitrogen in the steel, up to 100%.
