New Cotton Variety Boosts Yields and Early Harvests for Farmers!
The researchers studied how factors like planting date, density, and nitrogen affected the growth and yield of a special type of cotton. They found that the timing of planting and the amount of nitrogen used had a big impact on when the cotton plants matured and how much cotton they produced. The weight of the cotton in each pod increased with more nitrogen but decreased with earlier planting. The best results were seen when the cotton was planted in mid-April, with a specific planting density and nitrogen level, in a special farming environment in Hunan.
