Spatial analysis reveals significant soil variations impacting agricultural productivity in Jiangxi.
Researchers studied the soil in Jiangxi and found that different physical properties vary across the land. They used geostatistics to analyze the soil and discovered that factors like bulk density and capillary porosity show distinct differences in spatial patterns. The soil's heterogeneity is most pronounced at depths of 0-20cm, with effective scales of 700m and 12650m. The analysis revealed that a large portion of the variability in physical properties is due to spatial patterns rather than random chance. The physical factors studied are closely related to each other in terms of their spatial distribution.
