The combined A2O and MBR process effectively treats municipal wastewater in southern China. By using membrane separation, it improves removal of organic matter, nitrogen, and phosphorus compared to traditional A2O methods. The MBR system replaces sedimentation tanks, leading to better removal of pollutants like BOD5, NH+4-N, TN, and TP. The effluent quality meets strict pollution discharge standards, with low concentrations of COD, BOD5, NH+4-N, TN, and TP. This combined process shows promise for efficient wastewater treatment in the region.
