The arable land in Guangdong Province is facing serious problems like soil degradation and pollution, leading to lower crop production. To tackle this issue, measures are proposed to protect farmland quality, such as strengthening legal protection, investing in improving soil quality, establishing a soil monitoring network, implementing soil testing fertilization, inspecting newly reclaimed land, and enhancing scientific research.
