Soil water distribution reveals critical water scarcity in Loess Plateau.
The study looked at how water is distributed in the soil of Wangdonggou watershed in the Loess Plateau gully region. After rain, the top 2 meters of soil had some water, but below that, it was dry. Different types of land had varying amounts of water stored in the soil. The amount of water in the soil was influenced by factors like slope, plant type, and plant density. Overall, the study found that soil water content varied across different types of land and had some spatial differences.
