The study looked at different ways to grow more potatoes in dry areas of Gansu. They found that planting in ridges and furrows can increase potato yield by 72% and income by 1,050 yuan per hectare. Planting in beds during the seeding stage can increase yield by 36% compared to flat planting. The best amount of fertilizer to use is 675 kg per hectare, and the ideal planting density is 4.8×104 plants per hectare.
