High Calcium to Phosphorus Ratio Diets Boost Blood Chemistry in Beagles
The study looked at how different diets with varying amounts of calcium and phosphorus affected the blood chemistry of growing beagles. They divided the beagles into groups and fed them different diets with specific calcium to phosphorus ratios. The results showed that higher ratios of calcium to phosphorus in the diet led to higher levels of calcium in the blood. On the other hand, the levels of phosphorus in the blood decreased with higher calcium to phosphorus ratios. The levels of total protein, albumin, and creatinine in the blood did not show significant differences between the groups.
