Optimizing Nitrogen Use in Maize Farming Boosts Yields and Sustainability
The study looked at different ways of using nitrogen fertilizer on maize crops in Jilin province. They found that using the right amount of nitrogen helped maize plants grow better and produce more grain. Adding organic manure along with fertilizer also improved plant growth. By using nitrogen more efficiently, farmers could get similar yields while using less fertilizer. Substituting some chemical nitrogen with pig manure could be a good way to manage nutrients and reduce environmental impact. Overall, using nitrogen fertilizer wisely can help sustain maize yields and improve efficiency.
