Fenton method revolutionizes wastewater treatment in pigment factories, cutting costs significantly.
The researchers used the Fenton method to treat wastewater from a pigment factory, aiming to reduce pH fluctuations, remove organic pollutants, and improve biodegradability. They found that the Fenton method can achieve over 81% removal of COD, with optimal conditions reaching a 52% removal rate at a cost of 4.3 yuan per ton. The key factors for successful treatment were the ratio of H2O2 to Fe2+, the ratio of H2O2 to COD, and the effluent pH.
