A new method for segmenting images more efficiently has been developed. This method uses the edge information in images to find the best thresholds for segmentation. By focusing on the edges of the image, the method reduces the time and complexity of the segmentation process while maintaining high quality results. Experiments show that this new method outperforms traditional techniques, especially when dealing with cellular images.
