The quality of farmland after a land consolidation project is assessed using a method called agricultural land classification. This method doesn't consider all factors affecting the project, so a new approach was used. By including all relevant factors, the natural quality of the land can be better reflected after consolidation. The effectiveness of this new method was confirmed in a land consolidation project in Yongsheng county, Lijiang city.
